Christmas is the time we get together with friends and family and celebrate. We take a much needed break to enjoy the magic and spectacle of the season.
Here in London there are wonderful Christmas markets to explore, there’s outdoor skating at the Natural History Museum and at the iconic Tower of London where you’ll find gallons of hot chocolate and mulled wine to keep you warm and happy.
Winter Wonderland will return to Hyde Park and cannot be missed. There’ll be countless grottos and Santas to visit and stunning Christmas trees decked out with sparkling tinsel and lights to be admired.
The Royal Opera House will be wowing young fans once again with the time honoured and enchanting Nutcracker Suite and there will be pantomimes galore...
“Oh yes there will...”
Leave time for some last minute shopping, Harrods, Fortnum & Mason and Harvey Nichols are a must for the grownups and of course Hamleys world famous toy store for the kids.
However the heart of the season is the Christmas feast and at ffiona’s restaurant we offer a truly delicious, home cooked meal, Christmas food at it’s very best, served for you and your family on Christmas Day in Kensington.
Roasted Bronze turkey (white and dark meat served) and the side dishes are family style so that you can have exactly what you want on your plate.
Traditional creamy bread sauce, pigs in blankets, cranberry sauce, sage and onion stuffing with pork sausage meat and lashings of homemade gravy. Accompanied by Brussel sprouts with salted butter, heritage carrots and parsnips roasted with honey and fresh herbs and crisp, roasted potatoes.
To finish, well, we have warm blueberry and apple crumble, sticky toffee pudding and the star of the show...Christmas pudding with brandy sauce. All this is rounded off with fresh coffee and some indulgent petits fours.
I really hope that if you and your family will be in London this year that you choose to spend Christmas Day here with us where a warm welcome and a wonderful feast await you.
Wherever you’re spending the holidays this year we wish you all a very Happy Christmas and a healthy New Year.
